"Shérérazade, la nuit" at Palais de Tokyo

The Palais de Tokyo invites contemporary art lovers to discover “Shérérazade, la nuit”. The unpublished vision of the Arabian Nights whose stories as realistic as they are phantasmagorical form a journey through the eyes of contemporary artists from all over the world.

The exhibition is structured around a set of monographic works that respond to each other and compose so many porous chapters between different geopolitical contexts: from Europe to Brazil, from the Caribbean to Japan and Southeast Asia.

These artistic fictions are seen as critical tools of emancipation, in the face of the systems of oppression and exploitation that constitute the matrix of our ways of acting and thinking and encourage us to take into account a plurality of perspectives.
