Bourgeois opticians in Agen
Agen is a town with Gallo-Roman and medieval remains, where there are still alleyways to half-timbered houses and private mansions, dating from the 14th century. It owes its prosperity to its industrial activities such as weaving of sailcloth for the navy, homespun cloth, muslin, leather tanning and the glove factory. Agen is today internationally known for the quality of its prunes, which came from a variety of plums imported from the Far East in ancient times.
Located at 2 rue des Héros de la Résistance, in the heart of the city of Agen, the Bourgeois Opticiens shop was opened in 1991. Jean Michel, sensitive, cultured and a great lover of design, selects relevant models of spectacles beyond brands. His distinction : he successfully designed the model Michèle for the limited MYKITA edition for the opticians Rien Ne Va Plus. Without any concession to the heart of his trade, he offers a range of innovative lenses by the Japanese manufacturer Seiko. Today, he has handed over the management of the shop to his son Guilhem and his wife Laure. Both are opticians and they have fully invested their youth to perpetuate the image of the store in the city. A tailor made frame? Customized eyeglasses? This doesn’t pose a problem, high standards have always been a family affair !
