Vinylize

When Zachary Tipton discovered the vinyl record collection of his father he got the idea to give them a second life. In 2004 with his brother Zoltan, he created the Tipton Eyewear Company in Budapest and produced his first recycled vinyl frames.

 

A process of precision manual shaping is added to the usual laser cutting to keep the matt and shiny microgrooves on the frames of the eyeglasses. Resulting from a recording of Led Zeppelin or Michael Jackson, each Vinylize frame is unique.

 

Resolutely vintage and groovy the Vinylize frames are a perfect balance between the world of optics, environmental concerns and music fans.
